Christina R. Brown

Christina R. Brown, City of White Plains Police Dept.

Christina R. Brown was born and raised in the City of White Plains. While attending White Plains High School, Christina was asked to be a part of the Youth Bureau’s Mentor program, due to her positive attitude and impact she had on her peers. Christina formed great relationships with staff members of the Youth Bureau and took advantage of summer positions with the assistance of the Youth Employment Services. Christina later graduated from White Plains High School in 2005 and went on to pursue her future endeavors in Criminal Justice by attending City University of New York-John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
While attending school in busy Manhattan, Christina didn’t want to lose touch with her involvement in White Plains, therefore she worked a part time position at Church Street Elementary-After School Program for 2 years.  While still being focused on her studies and a potential career in law enforcement, Christina took the White Plains Police Exam in November of 2007 and was hired in January 2009. By the end of May 2009, she completed the Westchester County Police Academy and the following day graduated from John Jay College, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice.
Christina continued to be a fixture in the community during her time in the Patrol Division by participating in community events or guest speaking at Youth Bureau events. Although Christina misses patrolling the neighborhoods she grew up in, she is delighted to oversee the children in White Plains School District as the Police Department’s School Resource Officer. While off duty Christina spends time with family and friends and is a member of Westchester/Rockland Guardians Association, which she has served as a past trustee.
