Adrien Merveille

Adrien Merveille was born and raised in White Plains, NY by two parents who had migrated to the United States from Haiti in their 20’s. He attended Mamaroneck Avenue School, and eight years following his older brother, went on to attend Highlands Middle School and White Plains High School. After graduating as a member of the Class of 2010, he went on to pursue engineering studies at Syracuse University, earning a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.

Adrien has since grown in his career as a mechanical engineer, becoming a LEED Accredited Professional, and later obtaining a New York State license as a Professional Engineer. He is now working as an Associate for an MEP Engineering firm headquartered in Manhattan.

Since his high school years, the White Plains Youth Bureau and its staff, having served as an irreplaceable support and encouragement to him. This showed itself in his participation in the Great Potential program during his high school years where he received academic support and extracurricular engagement, his serving as a mentor in the Young MENtoring Group for three years, and his serving as the engineer staff member for the STEM-focused Saturday Girls Academy. The Youth Bureau also served as an aide in his obtaining summer work, a summer internship, full-time career employment, and even a scholarship to his alma mater.

Adrien currently lives in Connecticut with his wife and best friend, married since 2018, and he serves his Christian church as an elder.
