Junior Sainvil was born in Haiti. He moved to the United States at a young age, with his 3 siblings and his mother, to join his father who petitioned for them. When Junior migrated from Haiti, he attended White Plains Middle School (Highlands) and later graduated from White Plains High School in 2006. At the age of 15, the Youth Bureau helped him get his first job as a Junior Counselor with an after school program. During his high school and college years, he participated in several youth activities, trips and summer employment programs at the Youth Bureau.
Junior attended Westchester Community College, where he received his Associates Degree. A few years later, he graduated from Lehman College (CUNY) in the Bronx, where he received his BS in Accounting. In May 2014, before getting married, Junior received his Masters Degree in Business with a concentration in Finance from Lehman College. When Junior was introduced to the Youth Bureau back in high school, he didn’t realize the massive impact the youth programs would play in his life. “It is not a secret that the White Plains Youth Bureau is a big contributor to my success story. This organization gave me a first glimpse of all the great opportunities in American.” After college, Junior worked for an insurance consulting firm in NYC for 2 years. In 2012, through his connections at the Youth Bureau, he left the city for an Accounting position with an Engineering firm in Pleasantville, NY. He is now the Accounting Supervisor for this company.
Junior is a member of the French-speaking Baptist Church of White Plains. He serves as a youth Sunday school teacher, as well as a youth preacher.
